Winter Field Day Weekend for 2025 is Jan 25 - 26. SETUP will commence at ~9 am and OPERATING is open 11am saturday ~ 4:59pm sunday (continuous 30 hours) (1600z~2159z).  The VENUE is Fairdale Firehouse #2 located at 7940 3rd St Rd. This is a unoccupied spare facility. The Club will set up wire antennas starting on friday night (check with N9PMI Paul to confirm friday) and/or saturday morning. The classification is planned to be "3I KY" meaning there are three stations indoors: Phone (SSB, talking), CW (morse code), Digital (PSK31 or JS8CALL). FT8 is not allowed in this event because there are not enough fields to make the exchange. There will be laptops for logging using the N3FJP WFD logger program. Club transceivers used will include a FT710 and IC746. In this event, there are no stations using greater than 100W (no "big guns").

There will be bonus points earned for emergency power (via a EU2000 generator). There are other bonus opportunities - See their website.

The website is www.WINTERFIELDDAY.ORG. The ARTS club venue has been registered on that site.

The Janurary 9, 2025 meeting will include a planning session to figure out who can bring food, drinks, equipment and get an idea on operating scheduling. It's generally a challange to get someone to stay all night to 'keep guard' and keep operating as well. Late / early / all nighters have ample opportunity to operate.

Thanks,
Greg WX8V
